KFC Biscuits


*Ingredients:

°2 cups all-purpose flour
°1 tsp baking powder
°2 teaspoons granulated white sugar
°½ tsp cream of tartar
°½ tsp salt
°½ cup cold salted butter
°2/3 cup milk

*Instructions

Preheated oven to 415 degrees & line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a medium mixing bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, sugar, cream of tartar and salt.
Using a pastry blender, your hands or a knife and fork, cut the butter until the flour looks like coarse breadcrumbs.
Add the milk and stir with a fork until the mixture is smooth. On  floured surface, removing dough and knead to smooth.
Roll out the dough until it is ½ inch thick. Cut the dough with a 3-inch cookie butter or cut into squares. With the remaining dough, form and roll out to ½ inch and repeat until all dough is used and turned into cookies.
Place the cookie dough on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until raised and golden brown.
Serve immediately, or put on the counter or serving dish until ready to serve.
