Golden fried catfish




Fried catfish is a Southern tradition, along with buttermilk young coleslaw. Try these traditional foods together.


*ingredients :

° Half a cup of milk
° Half a cup of water
° salt/pepper
° 1 pound catfish fillets, sliced
° 1 cup fine cornmeal
° All-Purpose Flour Cup
° 1 teaspoon of seasoned seafood (such as Old Bay ™️))
° 1 liter vegetable oil for frying

* Directions  :

Step 1
In  bowl, blend milk, water, salt also pepper. Pour mixture to a flat pan enough to accommodate fillets. Lay the fish in a single layer over the bottom of the pan, flipping each side to cover and set aside to marinate.
Step 2
In 2-gallon resealable plastic bag, mix cornmeal, flour, & seafood season. Adding fish to the mixture, a some fillets at a time, & mix until equally coated.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 365°F (185°C).
Step 4
Fry the fillets until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Avoid crowding so the fillets have room to brown properly. The fish should be slightly crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. Lay out the paper towels.
