°1 pound minced meat

°1/2 pound ground Italian sausage

°1 small onion finely chopped

°1/2 m chopped bell pepper

°1 tsp. olive oil

°1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

°1 clove minced garlic

°1/2 tsp. Wild thyme

°1/2 tsp. basil

°1/2 tsp. parsley

°1 scrambled egg

°3/4 m Italian breadcrumbs

°Two slices of white bread, crumbled

°1 tb milk

°8 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese, keep 3/4°C

°1/4 m Parmesan cheese

°1 c marinara sauce, plus 1/2 -3/4 m extra for garnish

In  skillet, heat olive oil on medium. On high heat, saute onions & peppers for 3-4 minutes, remove from heat.

In a large bowl, add meat, onion, and pepper with all remaining ingredients, reserving 3/4°C of mozzarella cheese for garnish.

Now, dive in there with the best tools God has given you, and combine everything really well. Once it all comes together, put the mixture and pour it into a baking dish of your choice. I used oval Portuguese stoneware for us.

Pour 1/2 to 3/4°C of marinara sauce on top and spread. Put it in a 400 degree oven for 50 minutes. Remove from the oven, top with the remaining cheese and sprinkle some dry basil on top.

Return to the oven for another 10 minutes. Make sure the meat is not pink before serving, baking time will vary depending on the thickness of your loaf

Enjoy !
