Butter biscuits


°2½ cups (312.5 grams) all-purpose flour

°4 teaspoons baking powder

°1 t granulated sugar

°2 t kosher salt

°2 c (490 g) buttermilk

°½ cup (1 stick, 113 g) melted butter


Heat oven to 450 degrees F.

Add flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a medium bowl. Use a whisk to sift the ingredients.

Pour in the curd and stir until completely combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.

Pour butter into an 8" x 8"* baking dish. Place the dough on top of the butter and use a spoon (or your hands) to evenly distribute the dough to the edges of the pan.

Cutting unbaked dough to 9 squares (3x3 pattern). Baking for 28 min

Allow the butter to absorb into the biscuits before slicing and serving.
