Beef and barley soup



°1 pound boneless roast, divided and cut into 1-inch pieces
°1 1/2 cups thinly sliced ​​carrots
°1 1/2 cups thinly sliced ​​celery
°2/3 cup chopped onion
°10-12 mushrooms, sliced
°2 tablespoons ground beef (this is different from beef broth, it is the base for making beef broth)
°8-10 cups of water
°1 or 2 large bay leaves
°1 cup uncooked pearl barley
°1/2 teaspoon salt
°1/2 teaspoon pepper
°1 tablespoon garlic


Fry the beef in the skillet until it turns brown with frequent stirring
Remove meat from skillet and place in crockpot, add carrots, celery, onions, mushrooms, beef base, water, garlic and bay leaf.
Cook over high heat for 2 hours, add pearl barley over low heat and cook until vegetables and beef are tender.
Mix it with salt and pepper
Remove & dispose of bay leaf
