Grandma's Homemade Potato Soup


°2 pounds (about 6 medium) sweet potatoes, peeled, peeled, and chopped
°3 cups full fat milk
°4 tablespoons butter
°Salt and pepper to taste


Cover the potatoes with water in a large soup pot.
Cook over medium heat until fork softens, about 20 minutes. It is removed from the fire and then filtered.
Add milk and butter to the potatoes. Place it back on medium heat and let the milk boil slightly around the edges of the soup pot, for 5 to 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and wash in soup bowls.
Serve with salt and pepper to taste.
