Casserole of tortellini with cheese and meat sauce


°1 container (20 oz) refrigerated or frozen cheese tortellini
°1 lb ground beef
°1 jar (24 oz) pasta sauce
°8 (ounces) cream cheese (diced)
°1-2 cups grated mozzarella cheese
°1/2 cup grated or grated parmesan cheese
°season to taste


Cooking noodles accorde to pack directions; drain & set apart.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees & greased 9x13 baking dish.

In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with your seasoning of choice (I use salt, garlic powder, pepper, and Italian seasoning).

Trim excess fat from browned beef, then stir in your tomato sauce and cream cheese. Simmer for a few minutes until the sauce is well incorporated.
Gently toss your cooked tortellini with the sauce mixture, then pour it into your casserole dish; Sprinkle with grated mozzarella and parmesan.

Bake uncovered on the center rack of your oven for about 20 minutes. Turn the oven to broil and continue cooking for an additional 2 to 3 minutes .

To be enjoyed with garlic bread, salad and/or vegetables!
