BLACKBERRY-DUMPLIN'S



* Ingredients:

°1 L blackberries
°2 c white sugar, or to taste
°2c of water
°2 tsp butter
°1 tsp cinnamon
°2 cups of flour
°1 teaspoon of salt
°1/four cup butter
°1 egg yolk
° five tablespoons of milk

* Ingredients:

°1 L blackberries
°2 c white sugar, or to taste

°1 teaspoon of salt

* Methods :

 Place blackberries, sugar, water, butter and cinnamon in a large saucepan. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat until it begins to break down and form a sauce, about 20 to 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, whisk together the flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in the butter with a knife or pastry blender until the combination resembles coarse crumbs. Heart the egg yolk with the breadcrumbs. Add the milk 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring with a fork, until the flour mixture is moistened. Don't load more milk than you need: when you squeeze out a handful of the wet dough combination, it should form a ball.
Divide the dough into 1/2 and form small balls. Some people like flat dumplings, so they roll into a flat circle and cut into slices, then cut the slices into squares.
Put the dumplings (balls or slices) inside the berries. Cook the meatballs, covered, over medium heat for 15 minutes. You can push the dumplings into the juice, but don't flip them until they're fully cooked or they'll clump together.
