°1 head of chopped cabbage
°1 chopped onion
°2 tbsp. Chopped garlic
°5 slices of bacon cooked and crumbled
°Reserved bacon fat
°½ tsp. onion powder
°½ tsp. garlic powder
°Salt and pepper to taste


Cook the bacon and let it cool. Reserve the bacon grease.
Place the bacon drippings in a deep saucepan or skillet and cook the onion until softened.
Add the garlic to the pan and sauté another 30 seconds.
Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the cabbage to the pan. Stir then cover. Let simmer until the cabbage has softened.
Stir in garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper to taste. Sauté another 2-3 minutes.
Add the crumbled bacon on top of the cabbage and serve.
