DONKEY BALLS RECIPE



*Ingredients

°2 packets of croissants, preferably flavored with butter
°1 16 oz cream cheese, don't use fat free...they are awful
°1 package of jimmy dean sausages (standard size)
°1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
°1 small fresh onion… chopped

*Instructions

cook sausage, garlic powder and onion until brown and slightly crispy.
drain the sausage. should not be rinsed off
take room temperature cream cheese and sausage mixture. I don't add salt and pepper because of the buttery flavor in the buns.
unroll the croissant rolls and cut the croissant in half to form a triangle.
take a teaspoon of the mixture and pour into each croissant roll. then wrap the mixture into a small ball making sure the mixture is sealed inside.
place balls on cookie sheets and bake for 8 minutes. DO NOT BURN THE BOTTOM.
cooling for 3 minutes should yield about 40-48 balls.
one reviewer suggested she needed to cook them longer (14 mins)…so it may take longer depending on the size.
