Glazed Lemon Pound Cake



* Ingredients : 

° 3 cups all-purpose flour
° 3 teaspoons of baking powder
° 1 teaspoon salt
° 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
° 1 cup butter flavored ghee
° 2 cups white sugar
° 3 eggs
° 1/2 cup sour cream
° 1 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
° 1 1/4 teaspoon lemon extract
° 1 cup milk
+ icing
° 1/4 cup lemon juice
° 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar

* How this recipe works:

Preheaat oven 350°F (175°C). Grease a 10-inch bowl with flour.
Sift the flour with the baking powder, salt and nutmeg. Sit aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the ghee and sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy. Beat the eggs one at a time, then add the sour cream, vanilla and lemon extract. Whisk the flour mixture alternately with the milk and mix until combined. For the dough in the prepared frying pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then flip it onto a wire rack and let it cool completely.
While the cake is baking, make the glaze: In a small bowl, mix lemon juice and confectioners' sugar; Stir until smooth. *Note the cake shown in the photo was not done in a tube pan, but was done in loaf pans instead.
