Patty Melts - Don't Lose This



Switch to burger game & enjoy a melted burger about dinner (or lunch) this weekend . Layer caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and a perfectly thin burger patty between the toast for the best melt patty ever !

* Ingredients

° 1 stick of butter
° 1 large onion, halved and sliced
° 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
° Salt and pepper to taste
° 5 dashes of Worcestershire sauce
° 8 slices of Swiss cheese
° 8 slices rye bread

* Directions : 


In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium to low heat.Add the chopped onions and cook slowly for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onions are golden brown and soft.In a medium bowl, combine ground beef, salt, pepper and Worcestershire. Form 4 cakes.Melt two tablespoons of butter in a separate saucepan over medium heat.Cook the pancakes on both sides until cooked in the middle.

Assemble the pie as follows: a slice of bread, a slice of cheese, a slice of hamburger, a quarter of a cooked onion, another slice of cheese, and another slice of bread.In a clean tray or skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté over medium heat until golden brown. Take out the sandwiches and add 2 tablespoons of butter to the skillet.Flip the sandwich into the skillet and flip it over to the other side.Cook until golden brown and crispy, until cheese is melted.Cut it in half and serve immediately!
